NEM-Review Silver Installation

Your NEM-Review Silver Model package includes two modules, an Updater and several Query modules. The Updater is responsible for downloading data updates each day and adding them to the NEM-Review database. Query modules must access the Updater database in order to function.

Cleaning Previous Versions of NEM-Review

If you have had a previous version of NEM-Review on your computer, and you have not formatted your computer since you have installed it, or if you have an older version of NEM-Review currently installed, to access some of the more streamlined access of reports and analysis sheets available you will need to clean your computer of any previous NEM-Review Instillations. The instructions below detail how to clean your system.

  1. Uninstall Previous Versions - For those who still have a previous version installed. Goto Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs. Find NEM-Review in the list, and click the remove button. The uninstillation process will commence the uninstall of the NEM-Review Program. Once this has completed, download the Previous Version Cleaner from our downloads page. Run the previous Version Cleaner,
  2. Run the Previous Version Cleaner - to clean out any remnants of the previous versions. Instructions can be found here

These different modules should be installed as follows

Installing the Update Model

  1. Install NEM-Review
    Install NEM-Review on a machine that will be left running and logged in as it will need to update the database on a daily basis. The NEM-Review installation file is available from the downloads page.
  2. Activate your Update Module Licence
    On first run you will be prompted to activate a licence to NEM-Review. Enter your gr-id and password then select "NEM-Review Update/Query Model".
  3. Download the historical database
    You will be prompted to download the historical database.
    Save the database to a
      shared network location
    that will accessible by the NEM-Review Query Models.
  4. Enable automatic updates
    Ensure the database is updated daily by ticking "Enable Automatic Updates" from Tools>Options in NEM-Review.

Installing the Query Modules

  1. Install NEM-Review
    Install a local copy of NEM-Review on each machine. The NEM-Review installation file is available from the downloads page. (It is the same installation file used to install the Update Module)
  2. Activate Your Query Module Licences
  3. On first run you will be prompted to activate a licence to NEM-Review. Enter your gr-id and password then select "NEM-Review Query Model".
  4. Access the shared database
    You will be prompted to enter the location of the database. Choose the database that was saved to a shared network location during the Updater installation process (above).
  5. Enjoy!
