A Chronological Record of how NEM-Review has evolved
The following timetable has been compiled to provide a record of how NEM-Review has evolved over time in response to your comments, compliments, criticisms and suggestions for improvements (please keep them coming!).
NEM-Review version 6
In a few months ....
We will wrap up the upgrade to version 6 with the release of v6.2.0 - at which point in time we will turn off v5 (including this old portal) and migrate all clients onto v6 at no added charge, as a standard part of their annual licences.
1st September 2009
We've released v6.1.1 of NEM-Review, as our first interim upgrade to NEM-Review v6.1 - incorporating some of the feedback we have received from the early adopters who have been running v6.1.0
Version 6.1.1 is available to the public, and can be downloaded from the new NEM-Review portal, which is in the process of being developed specifically for v6.
Please note this added information (current at 3rd September):
1) Further interim upgrades will be released over the coming months according to this interim upgrade schedule.
2) Based on questions received following previous communications, we prepared this page outlining how all of the new functionality & data sets fit within the 3 Models now available.
3) For existing clients, we also prepared this page providing specific instructions for how you can upgrade from v5 to v6.1.1.
July 2009
NEM-Review v6.1.0 was first made available to selected Beta Testers. We wish to thank all those clients who gave us valuable commentary on the product, thus far.

January 2009
With v5.3 out of the way, we fully shifted our focus towards the implementation what we had been planning for some time with respect to NEM-Review version 6.
NEM-Review version 5
December 2008
A new version of NEM-Review (v5.3.0) was released. This version contains new features suggested to us by clients, including:
- Intermittent Generation
- FCAS Requirements
- Cumulative Price (the total price over the last 7 days)
- Approximate Interconnector Limits
- Enhanced graphing capability
We've prepared the attached table to provide further detail about the new enhancements we've added into NEM-Review v5.3, and look forward to receiving more of your feedback.
This release requires an updated version of the database. This database is backwards compatable with previous versions of NEM-Review.
August 2008
You may have noted that, from around this time, you've begun receiving regular, automated reports (which are PDFed copies of the reports you have available under your NEM-Review licence. This service has been added to existing NEM-Review licences at no added charge, and provides a convenient way of keeping everyone in your organisation informed about the market.March 2008
A minor update for NEM-Review (5.2.7) is released. This release includes fixes to bugs reported through client feedback. The following changes are included:
- Changes to allow query models of NEM-Review to run (albiet with some reduced functionality) on systems where security restrictions for the install folder prevent write access. Please contact us for more information.
- Several fixes for graphs that filter results by day. Particuarly for time of day graphs.
- The NEM-Review database now contains the TNSP zones that a generator belongs in. These are the same zones that appear in ez2viewAustralia.
This release requires an updated version of the database. This database is backwards compatable with previous versions of NEM-Review.
November 2007
A new version of NEM-Review (5.2.6) is released, with more features and interface streamlining, as well as fixes to bug that have been highlighted since the previous version of NEM-Review. Included in this upgrade:
- Some minor bug fixes based on issues raised by clients, and through evaluation and testing mechanisms internally.
- A revision of the "Go Portable" feature, offered to NEM-Review Silver Clients. We have streamlined this feature to make it easier to understand, and hopefully easier to use!
- Some small interface changes, including a new set of chart colours for the Pool Price tab, an improved options menu
- The Monthly Generator Report
- The Monthly Generator Report packages the most important data dealing with generator activity, including emissons calcuations, in one handy place.

- Improvements to the Extraction Tab, allowing you to choose how to export available generation data right back to the start of the NEM.
- We are also looking to add more in over time, let us know what you would like to see.
August 2006
With the upgrade to NEM-Review 5.1, the package was made more broadly available (not just to existing clients).
Included in this upgrade were enhancements such as:
- Some minor bug fixes based on issued raised by clients who upgraded to 5.0
- Additional report templates (for the Silver Model only)
- "NEM-to-date" monthly report
- This template provides you the ability to generate the same report included in our popular "Power Pictorial History" Market Map.

After investing considerable effort into the further enhancement of the NEM-Review package, we're pleased to release NEM-Review v5.
Amongst other enhancements provided with this upgrade include the following:

- Improved trial tips, messaging and licence reminders
- Repackaging of NEM-Review into two different models (Bronze and Silver) in order that we can more closely meet the needs of our growing (and diverse) client base.

A significant upgrade (to NEM-Review v4) was released. Key enhancements included:
- Improved updating, providing faster and automatic data updates
- Ability to filter generation data by a greater range of parameters - including generator technology, turbine supplier, fuel type, NEMMCO class.
- Ability to directly extract queried data to CSV from the Quick View trends.
- Inclusion of a standardised Week-to-Yesterday Report
